Breaking ground for a new project is an exciting venture, full of promise and potential, but the time it takes to build a stadium can leave that excitement in the dust of construction. D.C. United, a professional soccer club based in Washington, D.C., needed a way to retain that excitement for the two years between their 2016 Ground breaking Ceremony and their 2018 Opening Day.
The D.C. United Marketing Team created a Preview Center where fans can learn more about the project and purchase season tickets. To help show what was on the horizon, ZVerse created a 3’ x 2.5’ replica of the stadium as a centerpiece for the room, and 500 8″ x 8″ stadium replicas for D.C. United’s key stakeholders.
D.C. United representatives were so excited by the results, that they challenged us create the surrounding city and highlight how easy it would be to travel to the stadium within this metropolis. Our team responded with white massing models of Metro pillars and iconic landmarks like the Capitol Building, Washington Monument, and Lincoln Memorial.
